The phrase " {i}n addition to the specific
powers granted under this title" is added to
indicate clearly that the powers enumerated in
this section are not exclusive.

NAME.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 62B, §5(b).
The present provision granting the
Administration "perpetual succession" is
deleted as obsolete since that provision more
properly related only to and was necessary
only for the predecessor to the
Administration, the former Maryland Port
Authority.

THE ADMINISTRATION MAY ADOPT RULES AND REGULATIONS
TO CARRY OUT THE PROVISIONS Of THIS TITLE.
(C) (D) INVESTIGATIONS AND SURVEYS.
EITHER DIRECTLY OR BY EXPERT CONSULTANTS, THE
ADMINISTRATION MAY MAKE ANY INVESTIGATIONS AND SURVEYS,
INCLUDING:
(1) STUDIES OF BUSINESS CONDITIONS, FREIGHT
RATES, AND PORT SERVICES;
(2) PHYSICAL SURVEYS OF THE CONDITIONS OF
CHANNELS AND STRUCTURES;
(3) STUDIES OF THE NEED FOR ADDITIONAL PORT
FACILITIES TO DEVELOP, IMPROVE, AND MORE SPEEDILY HANDLE
COMMERCE; AND
(4) ANY OTHER STUDY, SURVEY, OR ESTIMATE
NECESSARY FOR THE EXERCISE OF ITS POWERS UNDER THIS
TITLE.
