BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 100
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1976 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 89 (g) of Article 2B - Alcoholic
Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1976
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
89.
[(g) A licensee in any district of Howard County
may remain open and sell alcoholic beverages authorized
by his license at all times on January 1st of any year,
subject to the provisions that no liquor may be sold
between the hours of 2:00 a.m. Sunday and 6:00 a.m. the
following Monday, notwithstanding other restrictions as
to hours imposed by this article. In Howard County
notwithstanding any other provision of this article Class
A beer, wine and liquor licensees may sell beer, wine and
liquor between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on
any December 24th or December 31st regardless of which
day of the week such dates fall on. ]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 89 (g) be and it is hereby added to Article 2B —
Alcoholic Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1976 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) to read as
follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
89.
(G) NOTWITHSTANDING § 86(A), § 100 AND ANY OTHER
RESTRICTIONS AS TO HOURS IMPOSED BY THIS ARTICLE, IN
HOWARD COUNTY A LICENSEE, EXCEPT ANY CLASS A (OFF-SALE)
LICENSEE, MAY REMAIN OPEN AND SELL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
AUTHORIZED BY HIS LICENSE AT ALL TIMES ON JANUARY 1 OF
ANY YEAR. NOTWITHSTANDING §§ 18, 90, AND 100, IN HOWARD
COUNTY A CLASS A BEER, WINE AND LIQUOR LICENSEE MAY SELL
BEER, WINE, AND LIQUOR BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6:00 A.M. AND
MIDNIGHT ON ANY DECEMBER 24 OR DECEMBER 31 REGARDLESS OF
WHICH DAY Of THE WEEK THESE DATES FALL ON.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section
100 of Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1976 Replacement Volume and 1976
Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and reenacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
