AN ACT concerning
St. Mary's County - Legal Counsel to School Board
FOR the purpose of altering the salary of the legal
counsel to the St. Mary's County Board of Education
so as to have counsel receive a salary as approved
by the St. Mary's County Commissioners.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 183A of the Public Local Laws of
St. Mary's County being Article 19 of the Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1965 Edition and 1974 Supplement, as
amended be and it is hereby repealed and reenacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
Article 19
183A.
The attorney at law who represents the St. Mary's
County Board of Education as legal counsel in legal
matters affecting the board shall receive an annual
salary [of twelve hundred dollars ($1200) which shall be
his sole compensation for legal services rendered the
board] AS APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
