2446                                    LAWS OF MARYLAND                            Ch. 544 Approved May 17, 1977. CHAPTER 545 (House Bill 1334) AN ACT concerning Outdoor Advertising - Corrective FOR the purpose of correcting and clarifying certain
provisions relating to outdoor signs along highways. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article — Transportation Section 8-716(4), 8-718 (a), and 8-742(3) Annotated Code of Maryland (As enacted by Chapter____ of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1977)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 8-716(4), 8-718(a), and 8-742(3)
of Article - Transportation, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (As enacted by Chapter____ of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1977) be and they are hereby repealed
and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows: Article - Transportation 8-716. The Administration may not issue a permit under this
part for any outdoor sign if: (4) [As] IT IS LOCATED, AS to any
intersection at grade of a State highway with another
highway or with a railroad[, it is located]: (i) [within 200 feet of the
intersection; (ii)] at any point where it obstructs or
interferes with the view of a train or other vehicle
approaching the intersection; or [(iii)] (II) at any OTHER point where it
is dangerous to the public in any way. 6-718. (a) Each applicant for a permit or the renewal of
a permit under this part shall pay to the administration
