himself, he shall be subject to the provisions of the
first paragraph of this section, and shall be required by
the Commission to insure as provided in the first
paragraph of this section, unless he, at once, insures
voluntarily as provided in the second paragraph of this
section.
(II) THE COMMISSION MAY ASSESS EACH
SELF-INSURER AN ANNUAL SUM OF NOT MORE THAN $250 WHICH
SHALL BE USED FOR ACTUARIAL STUDIES AND AUDITS TO
DETERMINE THE FINANCIAL SOLVENCY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.

AN ACT concerning
Workmen's Compensation Claims — Appeal
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Court, to which a
decision of the Workmen's Compensation Commission
has been appealed, to remand the decision to the
Commission for further proceedings; and providing
for the payment of costs and fees of medical and
other witnesses if a decision of the Commission is
remanded.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 101 - Workmen's Compensation
Section 56 (a)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That. Section 56(a) of Article 101 - Workmen's
Compensation, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

(a) Any employer, employee, beneficiary or person
feeling aggrieved by any decision of the Commission
