SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 501(a) of Article 2C - Alcoholism,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1976 Replacement
Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed
and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(a) (1) There is an advisory council on
alcoholism control in the alcoholism control
administration.

STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE ON ALL
MATTERS PERTAINING TO THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF
ALCOHOL ABUSE AND ALCOHOLISM, INCLUDING THE
RESPONSIBILITY TO ADVISE THE ALCOHOL ALCOHOLISM CONTROL
