AN ACT concerning
Electric Cooperatives - Citation
FOR the purpose of adding to the Code a citation to the
Electric Cooperative Act; and clarifying related
language.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Corporations and Associations
Section 5-601(b)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 5-601(b) of Article - Corporations
and Associations, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1975
Volume and 1976 Supplement), be and it is hereby repealed
and reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article — Corporations and Associations
5-601.
(b) Each cooperative organized under this section
shall be organized UNDER and governed by CH.179, ACTS OF
1976, the "Electric Cooperative Act."

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
