AN ACT concerning
Commission on Afro-American
History and Culture
FOR the purpose of making the Commission on Afro—American
History and Culture a part of the Department of
Economic and Community Development; and adding the
Commission on Indian Affairs to a list of entities
included in the Department.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 41 — Governor - Executive and Administrative
Departments

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 257D and 409(a) of Article 41 -
Governor — Executive and Administrative Departments, of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume
and 1976 Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article 41 — Governor - Executive and
Administrative Departments
257D.
(A) The following agencies, boards, commissions,
councils, corporations, authorities, trusts, and
divisions shall be included within the Department of
Economic and Community Development:
(1) The Maryland membership unit of the
Appalachian Regional Commission
