AN ACT concerning
Crimes — Indecent Exposure
FOR the purpose of prohibiting certain acts commonly
known as indecent exposure; and providing for a
penalty upon conviction specifying a penalty for
persons convicted of the common law crime of
indecent exposure.

Preamble
It is the intent of this legislation to define the
distinction between the disorderly conduct form of
indecent exposure and that type of indecent exposure
which is viewed as not merely a nuisance to society as a
matter of course, but which is also offensive, alarming,
or harmful to an individual member of that society.
The legislation prohibits overt conduct; actual
exposure under circumstances in which it would be
offensive or alarming; yet, the law does not prohibit
"exposure" in places which are designed for that type of
activity.
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 335A be and it is hereby added
to Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments, of the Annotated
