2112 LAWS OF MARYLAND Ch. 360
(A) THE EARNINGS OF PRISONERS SHALL BE COLLECTED
BY THE DIVISION OF PAROLE AND PROBATION OR, THE COUNTY
PROBATION DEPARTMENT OR THE WARDEN OF THE BALTIMORE CITY
JAIL. FROM THESE EARNINGS THE DIVISION OR THE DEPARTMENT
SHALL PAY THE FOLLOWING:
(1) THE COST OF PROVIDING FOOD, LODGING AND
CLOTHING BY THE PLACE OF INCARCERATION TO THE STATE OR
THE COUNTY;
(2) COURT ORDERED PAYMENTS FOR SUPPORT OF
DEPENDENTS; AND
(3) COURT ORDERED PAYMENTS FOR RESTITUTION.
(B) ANY BALANCE REMAINING AFTER THE PAYMENTS AS
SET OUT IN SUBSECTION (A) SHALL BE CREDITED TO THE
PRISONERS ACCOUNT AND PAID TO HIM WITHIN 15 DAYS OF HIS
RELEASE.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.

AN ACT concerning
Social Services Administration — Rules and Regulations
FOR the purpose of requiring the Director of Social
Services of the Social Services Administration to
incorporate certain federal references and texts in
certain State rules, regulations, or directives
which are based on federal law or related materials;
clarifying language; and generally relating to the
implementation of rules, regulations, and directives
by the Director.
