be executive director), technical experts and other
officers, agents and employees, permanent and temporary,
and shall determine their qualifications, duties and
compensation. For the legal services it may require, an
authority may call upon the chief law officer of the city
or may employ its own counsel and legal staff. An
authority may delegate to one or more of its agents or
employees the powers or duties it may deem proper.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.

AN ACT concerning
Supervisors of Assessments -
Reproduction of Tax Maps
FOR the purpose of requiring that the supervisors of
assessments in the counties shall permit
photographic reproduction of tax maps, or portions
thereof, at a reasonable fee, upon the request of
any person for such reproduction; and relating
generally to photographic reproduction of tax maps.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 45(c) and 232A of Article 81 -
Revenue and Taxes, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1975 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and they
are hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

45.
(c) The supervisors of assessments in the counties
shall maintain, for public inspection a complete set of
tax maps for each county, together with parcel reference
lists, which any person may inspect without fee or
reward. NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 232A
