Baltimore City the rate shall be 6 percent a year or such
other rate as is fixed by ordinance of the city council
and in Baltimore County the rate shall be 6 percent per
annum or such other rate as is fixed by ordinance of the
County Council, and in Frederick County the rate shall be
6 percent or a rate fixed by the County Commissioners not
to exceed 10 percent a year and except that in Montgomery
County, the rate is 6 percent per year or at a rate as
fixed by resolution of the County Council); provided J.
[if] IF the redemption is from a sale made to a county,
the person redeeming shall pay to the collector the
entire amount bid by the county at the tax sale, together
with interest at the rate [of 6 percent a year from the
date of sale to the date of the payment of the redemption
money, except that if the sale is made to Baltimore
County, the interest rate shall be 6 percent per annum or
such other rate as is fixed by ordinance of the County
Council, and if the sale is made to Baltimore City the
interest rate shall be 6 percent a year or such other
rate as is fixed by ordinance of the city council, and if
a sale is made in Frederick County the rate shall be 6
percent or a rate fixed by the County Commissioners not
to exceed 10 percent a year, and if a sale is made to
Montgomery County, the interest rate is 6 percent per
year or at a rate as fixed by resolution of the County
Council] FIXED IN SECTION 83 OF THIS ARTICLE. In
addition to the above there shall be added to the amount
required for redemption any taxes, together with interest
and penalties thereon accruing subsequent to the date of
sale which have been actually paid by the holder of the
certificate of sale or any prior holder and the total
disbursements of the holder of the certificate of sale or
any prior holder, made in accordance with the provisions
of this subtitle.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977. Approved April 29, 1977.
