(a) Records, reports, statements, notes, or
information assembled or obtained by the State Department
of Health and Mental Hygiene, the Maryland Commission to
Study Problems of Drug Addiction, the Medical and
Chirurgical Faculty or its allied medical societies, an
in-hospital staff committee, or a national organized
medical society or research group, which are declared
confidential by § [1-1] 1-I or § [1-34] 134 of Article 43
of the Code, are not admissible in evidence in any
proceeding.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.

AN ACT concerning
Tax Sales - Interest Rate for Redemption
FOR the purpose of clarifying the language and structure
of the law fixing the interest rate payable on the
redemption of property subject to sale for failure
to pay taxes, and establishing a ceiling on the rate
of redemption in certain counties. changing the rate
of interest payable on the redemption of property in
certain counties.

Preamble
WHEREAS, Four bills were enacted at the 1976 General
Assembly which amended Sections 83 and 93 of Article 81
of the Code with respect to the interest rate charged in
three jurisdictions for redemption of tax sale property;
and
WHEREAS, Each of the four bills was enacted without
giving effect to the other bills, which has resulted in
verboseness in the two sections of the Code affected; and
