SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 3-502 of Article - Real Property,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume and 1976
Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed:
Article - Real Property
3-502.
[(a) For a certified copy of any paper recorded
among the land records, the cost of the copy may not
exceed the recording cost of the original papers plus $1
for certification.
(b) For a duplicate copy, the cost may not exceed
one half the cost of the original papers plus $1 for
certification.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 3—502 be and it is hereby added to Article - Real
Property, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume
and 1976 Supplement) to read as follows:
Article — Real Property
3-502.
THE FEE FOR CERTIFICATION OF A COPY OF ANY ORIGINAL
PAPER RECORDED AMONG THE LANE RECORDS IS $3. A
REASONABLE FEE MAY BE CHARGED BY THE CLERK FOR
REPRODUCING A COPY OF THE PAPER.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
