LAWS OF MARYLAND
AN ACT concerning Alcoholic Beverages — Harford County
(Liquor Board Public Hearings) FOR the purpose of requiring the Harford County liquor
board to hold certain advertised public hearings
prior to altering its rules and regulations; and
adding numbering as appropriate. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages Section 163(e) Annotated Code of Maryland (1976 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 163(e) of Article 2B - Alcoholic
Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1976
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows: Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages 163. The liquor control board of each county shall have
full power and authority within its county; (e) (1) To make any and all contracts, rules and
regulations which they may deem necessary or desirable to
carry out the powers conferred upon them by this article. (2) IN HARFORD COUNTY, THE BOARD SHALL HOLD
PUBLIC HEARINGS ON ALL PROPOSED ALTERATIONS OF ITS RULES
AND REGULATIONS. THESE HEARINGS SHALL BE ADVERTISED IN
TWO OR MORE NEWSPAPERS OF GENERAL CIRCULATION IN THE
COUNTY AT LEAST TWO CONSECUTIVE WEEKS PRIOR TO THE
SCHEDULED PUBLIC HEARING.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977. Approved April 29, 1977.
