AN ACT concerning
Carroll County - Commissioners' Salaries
FOR the purpose of increasing the annual salary of each
of the County Commissioners of Carroll County; and
providing for a certain applicability of this Act.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 3-1 of the Public Local Laws of
Carroll County being Article 7 of the Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1976 Edition, as amended) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
Article 7
3-1.
There shall be three County Commissioners for
Carroll County who shall each receive a salary of
[$10,000] $16,000 a year. Also, each Commissioner shall
receive an allowance for expenses incident to the
official discharge of his duties as provided in Section
28 of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland as
amended. The three Commissioners shall hold at least two
regularly-scheduled meetings each week and shall schedule
such additional meetings as they deem necessary to
properly conduct the business of Carroll County.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
provisions of this Act shall not be construed to extend
or apply to the salary of the persons specified by this
Act in office on the effective date of this Act, but the
provisions of this Act concerning the salary of the
persons specified by this Act shall take effect at the
beginning of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
