SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 82(c) of Article 41 -
Governor—Executive and Administrative Departments, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and
1976 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
Article 41 — Governor—Executive and Administrative
Departments
82.
(c) Upon the completion of compilation and
indexing, the Department shall deliver the copies of the
laws, orders, and certificates to the printer to whom the
contract for printing them has been awarded. The printer
shall print them promptly in accordance with the terms of
his contract, and deliver the printed volumes to the
Director of the State [Library] DEPARTMENT OF LEGISLATIVE
REFERENCE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.

(Senate Bill 542)
AN ACT concerning
Washington County — Custody of Property
by Sheriff
FOR the purpose of providing that personal property which
comes into possession of the Sheriff of Washington
County shall be held until no longer necessary in
connection with a prosecution, and for return of the
property at that time to the person entitled to
possession; providing for sale at public auction
after a certain period and for distribution of the
proceeds; clarifying language; and relating
generally to the custody and return or sale of the
personal property.
