Maryland (1976 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be
and it is hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
Article 10 — Attorneys At Law and Attorneys In Fact
40.
(w) In Wicomico County,
(5) In addition to the deputy State's
attorney, the State's Attorney for Wicomico County, with
the approval of the Wicomico County [Council. may]
COUNCIL, MAY appoint additional assistant State's
attorneys he considers necessary. The salary of the
assistant State's attorney shall be determined by the
Wicomico County Council. The assistant State's attorneys
shall devote their full time and attention to the duties
of their office as assistant State's attorneys and may
not engage in the private practice of law at any time in
any jurisdiction during their tenure of office.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
