Recodification — Sound Level Evidentiary Law
FOR the purpose of transferring the only remaining
provision from the otherwise vacant Evidence Article
to the appropriate place in the Courts and Judicial
Proceedings Article; and repealing the Article name
"Evidence".

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 103 of Article 35 - Evidence and
repealing the name "Evidence", of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement)
be and it is hereby transferred to be Section 10-911 of
Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume and 1976
Supplement) to read as follows:
Article [35 — Evidence] — Courts and
Judicial Proceedings
[103.] 10-911.
In any legal proceeding of any nature, the
quantities and qualities of noise may be proved by
evidence of tests made with any instrument: designed and
constructed to measure and indicate or record the
presence of sound, including such devices commonly called
sound level meters and frequency analyzers.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
