LAWS OF MARYLAND
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 66 1/2,
§14-102. Present references to "traction engines" are
delated as obsolete. In subsection (c)(3) of this section, the
special provisions relating to interstate
highways are deleted as obsolete; by federal
law and by regulation of the State Highway
Administration, the rule for these highways
now is the same as for all primary highways:
102 inches. 24-103. PROJECTING LOADS ON PASSENGER VEHICLES. A PASSENGER-TYPE VEHICLE MAY NOT BE DRIVEN ON ANY
HIGHWAY WHILE CARRYING ANY LOAD THAT EXTENDS: (1)   BEYOND THE LINE OF THE FENDERS ON THE LEFT SIDE
OF THE VEHICLE; OR (2)    MORE THAN 6 INCHES BEYOND THE LINE OF THE
FENDERS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §14-103. The only changes are in style. 24-104. HEIGHT OF VEHICLES AND LOADS. (A)   HEIGHT LIMIT. THE HEIGHT OF ANY VEHICLE AND ITS LOAD MAY NOT
EXCEED 13 FEET 6 INCHES. (B)   OWNER OF BRIDGE OR OVERPASS NOT LIABLE FOR
DAMAGE CAUSED BY LOW CLEARANCE. ANY PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OPERATION OF A
VEHICLE THAT COLLIDES WITH ANY BRIDGE HAVING A CLEARANCE
OF LESS THAN 13 FEET 6 INCHES SHALL SAVE THE OWNER OF THE
BRIDGE HARMLESS FROM ANY LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES
PROXIMATELY CAUSED BY THE LOW CLEARANCE. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
