1110                                          LAWS OF MARYLAND                              Ch. 14 MAY NOT STOP ON THE ROADWAY FOR THE PURPOSE OF RECEIVING
OR DISCHARGING PASSENGERS, BUT SHALL USE THE LOADING ZONE
FOR THIS PURPOSE. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language that
combines Art. 66 1/2, §§ 12-228 and 11-706(b)
and (d). As to subsection (b)(2) of this section,
present Art. 66 1/2, §11-706(d) literally
provides only that the driver of a vehicle
need not stop on meeting a school vehicle that
is stopped ", without its alternately flashing
warning lights actuated," in an approved
loading zone. As such, the subsection is
wholly superfluous since present §11-706(a) —
now §21-706 (a) of this article - requires
stopping in the first instance only when the
school vehicle has activated these warning
lights. Apparently, as indicated by the
revision in subsection (b)(2), the purpose of
this provision was to prohibit operation of
the warning lights when in an approved loading
zone, thus making it unnecessary for other
vehicles to stop. In subsection (c) of this section, the
present, inconsistent references to a "school
bus" are corrected to refer to a "school
vehicle" and, in subsection (c) (2) , the
present, obsolete reference to "school child
or ... teachers" is corrected to refer to any
"passenger", as in subsection (c)(1). The only other changes are in style. 22-229. RESERVED. 22-230. SELLING OR USING LAMPS OR EQUIPMENT. (A)   APPROVAL OF TYPE BY ADMINISTRATOR. A PERSON MAY NOT HAVE FOR SALE, SELL, OR OFFER FOR
SALE FOR USE ON OR AS A PART OF THE EQUIPMENT OF A MOTOR
VEHICLE, TRAILER, SEMITRAILER, OR POLE TRAILER, OR USE
ON ANY SUCH VEHICLE, ANY HEAD LAMP, AUXILIARY OR FOG
LAMP, REAR LAMP, SIGNAL LAMP, OR REFLECTOR, WHICH
REFLECTOR IS REQUIRED UNDER THIS TITLE, OR PARTS OF ANY
OF THE FOREGOING, WHICH TEND TO CHANGE THE ORIGINAL
DESIGN OR PERFORMANCE, UNLESS OF A TYPE THAT HAS BEEN
SUBMITTED TO THE ADMINISTRATOR AND APPROVED BY HIM. (B)   DISPLAY OF TRADEMARK. A PERSON MAY NOT HAVE FOR SALE, SELL, OR OFFER FOR
SALE FOR USE ON OR AS A PART OF THE EQUIPMENT OF A MOTOR
VEHICLE, TRAILER, SEMITRAILER, OR POLE TRAILER ANY LAMP
OR DEVICE MENTIONED IN THIS SECTION THAT HAS BEEN
