DESCRIBED IN §22-101(C) AND THAT ANY SUCH SALE, OFFER
FOR SALE, DISPLAY FOR SALE, OR DELIVERY FOR USE OF ANY
UNAPPROVED DEVICES IS A VIOLATION OF THIS TITLE. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as

title. 22-104. UNLAWFUL TO REMOVE OR ALTER SAFETY DEVICE OR
EQUIPMENT. A PERSON MAY NOT WILLFULLY OR INTENTIONALLY REMOVE
OR ALTER ANY SAFETY DEVICE OR EQUIPMENT THAT HAS BEEN
PLACED ON ANY MOTOR VEHICLE, TRAILER, SEMITRAILER, OR
POLE TRAILER IN COMPLIANCE WITH ANY LAW, RULE, REGULATION, OR REQUIREMENT OF ANY OFFICER OR AGENCY OF
THE UNITED STATES OR OF THIS STATE, IF IT IS INTENDED
THAT THE VEHICLE BE OPERATED ON HIGHWAYS IN THIS STATE,
UNLESS THE REMOVAL OR ALTERATION IS PERMITTED BY RULE OR
REGULATION ADOPTED BY THE ADMINISTRATOR. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as

title. 22-105. ALTERATIONS REDUCING EFFECTIVENESS OF BUMPERS. IF ANY CLASS A (PASSENGER) VEHICLE OR ANY CLASS E
1/2 OR 3/4 TON TRUCK HAS BEEN WILLFULLY OR INTENTIONALLY
ALTERED IN ANY MANNER THAT WOULD REDUCE THE EFFECTIVENESS
OF ITS BUMPERS IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION WITH ANOTHER
VEHICLE, IT MAY NOT BE OPERATED ON ANY HIGHWAY IN THIS
STATE.        THE MOTOR VEHICLE ADMINISTRATION AND THE AUTOMOTIVE SAFETY ENFORCEMENT DIVISION OF THE MARYLAND
STATE POLICE JOINTLY SHALL ADOPT RULES AND REGULATIONS
RELATING TO BUMPERS AS USED IN THIS SECTION. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
