MARVIN MANDEL, Governor                              101 THE SHARE OF HIGHWAY USER REVENUES PAYABLE TO
MUNICIPALITIES IN THE COUNTY AN AMOUNT SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE DEBT SERVICE ON THE BONDS IN THAT YEAR. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 89B,
§211G—1(C). 3-309. BONDS ARE DEPARTMENTAL DEBT. BONDS ISSUED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE ABE THE
OBLIGATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT AND MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED
TO CONSTITUTE A DEBT OF THE COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF
DETERMINING ITS DEBT LIMITATIONS. REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as
the next to the last clause of the
introductory language of Art. 89B,
§211G-1(b)(6). The only changes are in style. As to substitution of the phrase "nay not be"
for "shall not be", see revisor's note to
§3-213 of this title.
GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE: In revising this title, the Commission to Revise the
Annotated Code included: (1) those provisions of former
Art. 94A that deal with Consolidated Transportation Bonds
and related Departmental financing; and (2) those
provisions of former Art. 89B, §211G-1 that, by Ch. 492,
Acts of 1975, effective January 1, 1976, deal with County
Transportation Bonds. As to the balance of Art. 94A, those provisions that
deal with revenue bond financing by the Maryland
Transportation Authority now appear in Title 4, Subtitle
3 of this article. Article 94A, §11(b), which relates to
the Gasoline and Motor Vehicle Revenue Account of the
Transportation Trust Fund, now appears in Title 8 of this
article as §8-402. Article 94A, §11(b—1), which relates
to the Driver Education Account of the Fund, now appears
in Title 16 of this article as §16-508. Article 94A,
§11A, which relates to grants to the Washington Suburban
Transit District, now appears in Title 10 of this article
as §10-205. As to Art. 89B, §211G-1, its provisions, as amended
by Ch. 492, Acts of 1975, appear in Subtitle 3 of this
title. However, certain revisions have been made in its
language, as well as in the required form, tenor, and
manner of issuance of County Transportation Bonds (see,
e.g., §3—303(a) of this title and its revisor's note).
Therefore, as to County Transportation Bonds issued
before the effective date of this article, July 1, 1977,
