Ch. 14
1002 LAWS OF MARYLAND
In subsection (d) of this section, the term
"device" is added to conform to the like
reference in subsection (a). The only other changes are in style. As to permitted school signs in Kent and Queen
Anne's counties, see NR §5-407(b). As to the balance of Art. 89B, §103, see
General Revisor's Note to Title 8 of this
article. 21-206. INTERFERENCE WITH TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES OR
RAILROAD SIGNS AND SIGNALS. A PERSON WITHOUT LAWFUL AUTHORITY MAY NOT WILLFULLY
ALTER, DEFACE, INJURE, KNOCK DOWN, CHANGE THE DIRECTION
OF, TWIST, OR REMOVE ANY PART OF ANY TRAFFIC CONTROL
DEVICE OR ANY RAILROAD SIGN OR SIGNAL, INCLUDING ANY
INSCRIPTION, SHIELD, OR INSIGNIA ON IT. REVISOR'S NOTE; This section presently appears as
Art. 66 1/2, §11-206. The present reference to an "attempt" to do
any of the prohibited acts is deleted as
unnecessary in light of §26-101 of this
article to the same affect. The present modifier "wilfully" is transposed
to modify all of the listed activities for
consistency and clarity. Its present
placement — preceding the words "knock down" —
is ambiguous as to its applicability to one or
more of the verbs following and, in any event,
illogical. The only other changes are in style. 21-207. FUNERAL PROCESSIONS. (A)   PROCESSION MAY PROCEED THROUGH REE LIGHT. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF THIS TITLE,
A FUNERAL PROCESSION FACING A RED SIGNAL MAY CONTINUE
THROUGH OR MAKE A TURN AT AN INTERSECTION IF THE FIRST
VEHICLE IN THE PROCESSION ALREADY ENTERED THE
INTERSECTION BEFORE THE SIGNAL CHANGED FROM GREEN TO RED. (B)    OTHER VEHICLES PROHIBITED FROM ENTERING
INTERSECTION. WHILE A FUNERAL PROCESSION IS PROCEEDING THROUGH A
RED SIGNAL AS PERMITTED BY THIS SECTION, A VEHICLE THAT
IS NOT IN THE PROCESSION MAY NOT ENTER THE INTERSECTION,
EVEN IF IT IS FACING A GREEN SIGNAL, UNLESS IT CAN DO SO
