hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings

2-309.

(c)(1) The Sheriff of Anne Arundel County shall

receive a salary of $17,500. In addition to his salary,
the Sheriff shall receive [$157,000] $176,000 annually to
be used for salaries of deputies and any necessary
clerical assistants; AS OF JULY 1, 1976, $19,500 OF THIS
SHALL BE FOR THREE NEW DEPUTY SHERIFF POSITIONS AT $6,500
EACH.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
