scores in their respective [county or] legislative
district and who can also demonstrate financial need.
The remaining [fifty percent (50%)] 50 PERCENT of [said]
THE scholarship funds in each [county and] legislative
district shall be used by the State Scholarship Board to
make awards to those qualified students who [have been
shown to] have the greatest amount of financial need.
If in any [county or] legislative district, any of
the scholarship [moneys] MONEY allocated under the
provisions of this section remain after all the eligible
candidates in the respective [county or] legislative
district have been processed, the State Scholarship Board
shall use [such] THE remaining [moneys] MONEY to make
awards from a Statewide list of eligible candidates, in
accordance with the procedures authorized in this
subsection. The State Scholarship Board shall, on or
before June 1 of each year, send to each State Senator a
list of the awards made in each [county and] legislative
district under the general scholarship program.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

auto wreckers; and eliminating the assessment placed
on auto wreckers for storing certain vehicles.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 5-202 (a) (6) and 5-203 (d) of
Article 66 1/2 — Vehicle Laws, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be
and they are hereby repealed and reenacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
