[[A PERSON OPERATING A CARNIVAL OWES TO BUSINESS
INVITEES A DUTY TO USE ORDINARY CARE TO KEEP THE PREMISES
IN A REASONABLY SAFE CONDITION. ]] THE PURCHASE OF A
TICKET TO A CARNIVAL OR AN AMUSEMENT RIDE DOES NOT

CONSTITUTE AN ASSUMPTION OF RISK ON THE PART OF THE

PURCHASER.

SECTION [[3]] 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That
this Act shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

Elevators and Dumbwaiters — Places of Operation

FOR the purpose of extending the registration and
inspection of elevators, dumbwaiters, escalators,
and moving walks to any building, structure or place
of employment: exempting existing and new
elevators, escalators, moving walks and dumbwaiters
in certain private residences from the provisions of
Section 49B of Article 89 of the Annotated Code; and
clarifying language.
