AN ACT concerning

Natural Resources — Departmental Units

FOR the purpose of including the Energy and Coastal Zone
Administration as a unit of the Department of
Natural Resources; and reorganizing certain units
within the Energy and Coastal Zone Administration.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article — Natural Resources

Section 1-102 (a)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1974 Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 1-102(a) of Article -Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1974 Volume
and 1975 Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed and
reenacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Article — Natural Resources

1-102.

(a) The following units are included within the
department:

(1)  The Fisheries Administration

(2)  The Wildlife Administration

(3)  The natural resources police force

(4)  The forest service

(5)  The park service

(6)  The water resources administration

(7)  The Maryland Environmental Service
[(8)    The Power Plant Siting Program]

(8)     THE ENERGY AND COASTAL ZONE
ADMINISTRATION, WHICH SHALL INCLUDE THE POWER PLANT
SITING AND RESEARCH PROGRAM, THE BUREAU OF MINES, THE
MINING EXAMINING BOARD, THE MARYLAND COMMISSION ON MINING
LAWS AND THE LAND RECLAMATION COMMITTEE
