AN ACT concerning

Corporations and Associations - Corrective

FOR the purpose of repealing certain obsolete provisions
superseded by the Corporations and Associations
Article; and correcting certain references to
sections in that Article.

SECTION 1- BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 329, 348, and 349 of Article 48A
- Insurance Code, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and they are
hereby repealed:

Article 48A — Insurance Code

[329.

The officers and members of the supreme, grand or
any subordinate body of a society shall not be personally
liable for payment of any benefits provided by a
society.]

[348.

(a) A domestic society may consolidate or merge
with any other society by complying with the provisions
of this section. It shall file with the Commissioner:

(1) A certified copy of the written contract
containing in full the terms and conditions of the
consolidation or merger;
