Fair Trade Act

FOR the purpose of repealing provisions generally
relating to fair trading and the "Fair Trade Act."

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Title 11, Subtitle 1 and the subtitle
"Fair Trade Act" of Article — Commercial Law, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1975 Volume and 1975
Supplement) be and it is hereby repealed:

[Subtitle 1. Fair Trade Act.

11-101. Definitions.

(a)   In general.

In this subtitle the following words have the
meanings indicated.

(b)   Commodity.

"Commodity" means any subject of commerce.

(c)   Person.

"Person" includes an individual, corporation,
business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association,
two or more persons having a joint or common interest, or
any other legal or commercial entity.

(d)   Producer.

"Producer" means any grower, baker, maker,
manufacturer, bottler, packer, converter, processor, or
publisher.

(e)   Retailer.

"Retailer" means a person who sells a commodity to
consumers for use.

(f) Wholesaler.
