AN ACT concerning
Criminal Justice Information System
FOR the purpose of creating a State Criminal Justice
Information System; creating a Criminal Justice
Information Advisory Board and providing for its
composition and duties; creating a central
repository for criminal history record information
and requiring the reporting of certain data to it by
criminal justice agencies; limiting and placing
conditions upon the dissemination of criminal
history record information; granting people the
right to inspect and challenge criminal history
record information concerning them and requiring the
correction of inaccurate data; requiring the
adoption of certain rules and regulations; providing
penalties; and relating generally to criminal
justice information.
BY adding to
Article 27 — Crimes and Punishments
Section 742 through 755, inclusive, to be under
the new subtitle "V. Criminal Justice
Information System"

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Sections 742 through 755, inclusive,
to be under the new subtitle "V. Criminal Justice
Information System" be and they are hereby added to
Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1971 Replacement Volume and 1975
Supplement) to read as follows:

742. PURPOSE OF SUBTITLE.
(A) THE PURPOSE OF THIS SUBTITLE IS TO CREATE AND
MAINTAIN AN ACCURATE AND EFFICIENT CRIMINAL JUSTICE
INFORMATION SYSTEM IN MARYLAND CONSISTENT WITH APPLICABLE
