484                                     LAWS OF MARYLAND                              Ch. 232

North Beach or Chesapeake Beach who shall have all of the
powers and authority of the deputy sheriffs. The County
Commissioners are authorized to reimburse the towns of
North Beach and Chesapeake Beach in whole or in part for
services performed by the special deputy sheriffs outside
the town limits.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

Calvert County — Board of Education

FOR the purpose of establishing a hearing proceeding in
the Board of Education of Calvert County; and
generally relating to hearings and hearing
examiners.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 77 - Public Education

Section 114B

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1975 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED   BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That Section 114B     of Article 77 - Public

Education, of the Annotated     Code of Maryland (1975

Replacement Volume and 1975     Supplement) be and it is

hereby repealed and reenacted,   with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 77 - Public Education

114B.

In all proceedings before the Board of Education of
Charles County AND CALVERT COUNTY pursuant to §§ 59 and
114 [of this article], the board may cause the same to be
heard initially by a hearing examiner, chosen by the
board, who shall be an attorney admitted to practice
before the Court of Appeals of Maryland. The hearing
examiner may not also be the attorney to the Board of
Education or in any way connected with the attorney to
the Board of Education. The hearing examiner shall
