RESOLUTION NO. R-2-A-75

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ANNEXATION 0?

APPROXIMATELY 34.903 ACRES OF CONTIGUOUS LAND

WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE TOWN OF INDIAN

HEAD, MARYLAND

WHEREAS, the Board of Town Commissioners and property
owners of the area in question are desirous to
extend the legal description of the boundaries of
the Town of Indian Head to incorporate within the
corporate limits of the Town the area in question;
and

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 19(c)
of Article 23A of the Annotated Coda of Maryland (ACM)
1957 edition as amended, the Board of Town Commissioners
of the Town of Indian Head, Maryland has received a
petition from persons residing in the area to be annexed
whose petition does meet the following criteria:

(1)    the consent of not less than 25% of the
persons residing in the area to be annexed who are
registered voters in the County elections,

(2)    the consent of owners of not less than 25% of
the assessed valuation of real property located in the
area to be annexed.

[Section 143(1) of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Charles County, added.

RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Council of Luke, Maryland,
adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11-E of
the Constitution of the State of Maryland, and
Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, entitled "Municipal Corporations", as that
Section was enacted by Chapter 423 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland, 1955, entitled, "A
