VETOES

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill
1467.

This bill authorizes Baltimore City to issue bonds
in an amount not exceeding ten million dollars to make
loans and loan guarantees for purchases of residential
structures.

Senate Bill 621, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on April 13, 1976, accomplishes
the same purpose.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign House
Bill 1467.

House Bill No. 1492 - Flood Control Construction Program

AN ACT concerning

Natural Resources — Flood Construction [[Fund]] Program

FOR the purpose of establishing the Flood Control
Construction [[Fund]] Program within the Department
of Natural Resources to finance the construction of
certain flood control projects under certain
conditions; [[providing for the financing of the
fund]] establishing a maximum amount that the

department may contribute; requiring the department

to adopt certain criteria with respect to requested
projects; and relating generally to the Flood
Control Construction [[Fund]] Program.
