Senate Bill No. 892 - State Bonds for Bird River
and North East Creek

AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt — Bird River
and North East Creek Dredging

FOR the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State
Debt in the amount of $460,000, the proceeds to be
used for the dredging of the Bird River and North
East Creek; providing that payment of any funds
under the provisions of this Act shall be contingent
upon certain conditions; providing that funds
provided under the provisions of this Act shall be
deemed to be abandoned if not encumbered within a
certain time; and providing generally for the issue
and sale of bonds evidencing such loan.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill
892.

This bill authorizes a State general obligation bond
of $460,000 to dredge the Bird River and North East Creek
in Baltimore County. The expenditure of these funds is
contingent upon the approval of all plans associated with
the dredging by the Department of Water Resources (which
has been replaced by the Water Resources Administration)
and upon the approval of a selected dumping site for the
