the street lighting system.

House Bill 1423, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on April 13, 1976, accomplishes
the same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 622.

Senate Bill No. 638 — Charles County Drainage Systems

AN ACT concerning

Charles County — Drainage

FOR the purpose of authorizing Charles County to
construct and improve drainage systems and levy
benefit assessments in certain cases; renumbering as
appropriate; and generally relating to drainage
systems and benefit assessments in Charles County.

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill
638.

This bill authorizes Charles County to improve the
drainage systems and levy benefit assessments.

The sponsor of Senate Bill 638 has requested that I
veto the bill in favor of Senate Bill 1112, which was
enacted by the General Assembly and signed by me on April
13, 1976, and which accomplishes the same purpose.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 638.
