This bill provides that criteria for awarding
alimony, alimony pendente lite, and counsel fees are
applicable to both spouses.

House Bill 829, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 4, 1976, accomplishes
the same purpose.

Therefore, it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 180.

Senate Bill No. 286 — Legislators' Requests for
Information

AN ACT concerning

Legislators' Requests for Information

FOR the purpose of requiring executive and independent
agencies to supply information requested by members
of the General Assembly for a legislative purpose;
requiring an agency to inform a member if it does
not have the information and to advise the member of
its location, if known; authorizing an agency to
delete material to protect the privacy of particular
individuals or to withhold certain information; and
providing that the House in which the member sits or
the Legislative Council may subpoena the
information; providing for a certain exception to
the provisions of this act with respect to tax
information.
