VETOES

paper.

Thus, as amended, Senate Bill 46 would not achieve
its purpose, but would only result in additional
confusion for Maryland lenders and borrowers.

For these reasons, and at the request of the
sponsor, I halve decided to veto Senate Bill 46.

Sincerely,
Marvin Mandel
Governor

Senate Bill No. 145 - Towson State College Police

IN ACT concerning

Towson State College — Police

FOR the purpose of making members of the Towson State
College Police peace and police officers; limiting
their jurisdiction to certain property; and
providing for the promulgation of rules and
standards concerning such persons.

May 17, 1976.
Honorable Steny H. Hoyer
President of the Senate
State House
Annapolis, Maryland 21404

Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill
145.

This bill provides that within a certain
jurisdiction, members of the Towson State Police are
peace and police officers.

House Bill 440, which was enacted by the General
Assembly and signed by me on May 17, 1976, accomplishes
the same purpose.

Therefore it is unnecessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 145.
