RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That
the President of the Senate [[and]], Speaker of the House
and the Governor appoint a task force during the 1976
legislative interim to be charged with the responsibility
of making a comprehensive review of the issues and
ramifications of collective bargaining rights for public
employees in Maryland and preparing a workable
legislative proposal on the matter for submission to the
1977 General Assembly if a decision is made that
collective bargaining rights should be extended to
additional public employees in Maryland; and be it
further
[[RESOLVED, That this task force shall consist of 20
members, six appointed from the Senate by the President,
six appointed from the House by the Speaker, four members
of the public at large appointed by the President of the
Senate and four members of the public at large appointed
by the Speaker of the House.]] [[RESOLVED, That this task
force shall consist of 15 members, as follows: four
appointed from the Senate by the President; four
appointed from the House by the Speaker; six from the
public at large jointly appointed by the President and
Speaker to be representative, as a group, of labor,
management and the public interests; and one appointed by
the Governor. The President and Speaker shall jointly
designate one of the members of the task force to serve
as chairman]] RESOLVED, That this task force consist of
16 members; as follows: The Commissioner of Labor and
Industry, who shall serve as an ex—officio member; four
members appointed from the Senate by the President; four
members appointed from the House by the Speaker; six
members from the public at large jointly appointed by the
President and speaker to be representative, as a group,
of labor, management and the public interest; and one
member appointed by the Governor. The President and
Speaker shall jointly designate one of the members of the
task force to serve as chairman.
