8-118.

(d) The Board of Education of Prince George's
County shall comply with all the [buildings] BUILDING
regulations adopted by the County Commissioners for that
portion of the regional district within Prince George's
County. The Board of Education also shall provide
suitable fire escapes for all school buildings in use if
the buildings are more that one story in height, and also
provide suitable fire escapes for all the buildings now
in course of construction or hereafter erected. If the
Board of Education fails to comply with the provisions of
this [subheading] TITLE, the County Commissioners of
Prince George's County may contract for the doing of the
work and deduct the cost thereof from the amount levied
for the support of schools in Prince George's County.

8-120.

(a) [No] A building or other structure may NOT be
erected or structurally altered in the [[regional
district]] REGIONAL DISTRICT without the issuance of a
building permit, and [no] A permit may NOT be given
except in conformity with the provisions of this article
and of the regulations enacted by the respective district
councils- [In that portion of the regional district in
Prince George's County, construction or structural
alteration of a building or structure may not begin until
and unless the building permit is approved by the
Commission as to zoning requirements and as to the
requirements of § 3-114 of this title. No][[.]] A
building permit is NOT required for buildings and
structures to be used exclusively for purposes of
agriculture upon land used exclusively for agriculture.
In any part of the regional district in which there does
not now exist provision of law or ordinance designating
an administrative official by whom building permits are
to be issued, the appropriate district council shall
designate this official. [No] AN act, ordinance, or
regulation issued under the authority of this article
[requires] DOES NOT REQUIRE the approval by the
Commission of any building permit in Montgomery County OR
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, and any acts, ordinances, or
regulations inconsistent herewith are repealed to the
extent of the inconsistency. However, in Montgomery
County AND PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, all building permit
applications shall be referred to the commission for
review and recommendations as to zoning requirements.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Section 5-105.1 be and it is hereby added to Article 66D
- Maryland—National Capital Park and Planning Commission,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement
Volume and 1975 Supplement) to read as follows:
