AN ACT concerning

Licenses — Bonding

FOR the purpose of permitting an applicant for certain
licenses to file evidence of one bond or other
security which is considered adequate and sufficient
by both the Department of Natural Resources and the
Motor Vehicle Administration.

Article — Natural Resources
Section 8-710.1(c)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 8-710.1(c) be and it is hereby
added to Article — Natural Resources, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1974 Volume and 1975 Supplement) to
read as follows:

8-710.1.

(C)         AN APPLICANT FOR A BOAT DEALER'S OR

MANUFACTURER'S LICENSE WHO IS ALSO APPLYING FOR A TITLE
SERVICE AGENT'S LICENSE OR A TRAILER DEALER'S LICENSE
WITH THE MOTOR VEHICLE ADMINISTRATION MAY FILE EVIDENCE
OF A BOND OR OTHER SECURITY DEEMED ADEQUATE AND
SUFFICIENT BY BOTH THE MOTOR VEHICLE ADMINISTRATION AND
THE DEPARTMENT WITH RESPECT TO THE APPLICANT'S
OBLIGATIONS AND LIABILITIES UNDER THIS SECTION AND
SECTIONS 5-108 AND 5-804 OF ARTICLE 66 1/2 OF THIS CODE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
