AN ACT concerning

Worcester County — Alcoholic Beverages
(Borrowing Power of Liquor Control Board)

FOR the purpose of altering the sum of money that the
liquor control board may borrow from a banking
institution in Worcester County, prorating certain
funds over a certain period of time; making this Act
subject to a certain contingency; and clarifying
language.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 160 (b) and (c) of Article 2B -
Alcoholic Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and
they are hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages

160.

(b) The liquor control board [also shall be
authorized to] MAY borrow money from time to time from
any banking institution [,] on its own credit.
[Provided, that the] THE aggregate sum advanced to [and/]
or borrowed by the liquor control board [shall at no
time] MAY NOT exceed [$5,000.00] $5,000 in Somerset
