AN ACT concerning

Carroll County - Schools

FOR the purpose of repealing an obsolete local law of
Carroll County concerning the expenditure of certain
racing funds for the construction, maintenance, and
improvement of public schools in said county and to
repeal the subtitle "Schools" in the Code of Public
Local Laws of Carroll County.

The Public Local Laws of Carroll County
Section 440

Article 7 — Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1965 Edition, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 440 of the Public Local Laws of
Carroll County being Article 7 of the Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1965 Edition, as amended) be and it is
hereby repealed:

The County Commissioners of Carroll County are
authorized and directed to place all funds received by
said county from the distribution of revenues derived
from the conduct of racing in a special fund and to
expend such funds, under the direction and supervision of
the County Board of Education, for the construction,
maintenance and improvement of public schools in said
county. ]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
