AN ACT concerning

Charles County — Alcoholic Beverages

FOR the purpose of permitting in Charles County a Class D
beer and light wine license; specifying a certain
license fee; clarifying language; and renumbering.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages

Section 16

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 16 of Article 2B - Alcoholic
Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968
Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages

16.

(a)    A Class D beer and light wine license shall be
issued by the clerk of the circuit court of the county in
which the place of business is located, or by the cleric
of the Court of Common Pleas of Baltimore City, if the
place of business is located in (said] THE city. [, and
shall authorize the] THE LICENSE AUTHORIZES ITS holder
[thereof] to keep for sale and to sell beer and light
wines at retail, at the place [therein] described IN THE
LICENSE, for consumption on the premises or elsewhere[,
but no such]. THE license [shall] MAY NOT be issued for
any drug store. The annual fee for [such a] THE license
[shall be sixty dollars ($60.00) ] IS $60, and shall be

issued, for distribution as [hereinafter] provided IN

(b)    In Allegany County the annual license fee [for
such a license shall be $120.00] IS $120.

(c)    In Anne Arundel County the annual license fee
[therefor shall be two hundred dollars ($200.00)] IS
