ADDITION TO ALL OTHER POWERS OF COUNTIES AND
MUNICIPALITIES AND MAY BE EXERCISED DIRECTLY BY THE
COUNTY OR MUNICIPALITY OR AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED BY ITS
GOVERNING BODY, WHETHER OR NOT THE COUNTY OR MUNICIPALITY
HAS ESTABLISHED A HOUSING AUTHORITY UNDER THE HOUSING
AUTHORITY LAW. THIS SECTION DOES NOT AFFECT ANY POWERS
CONFERRED ON HOUSING AUTHORITIES OR ON COUNTIES OR
MUNICIPALITIES BY HOUSING AUTHORITIES LAW OR THE HOUSING
CORPORATION LAW.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

National Guard — Workmen's Compensation

FOR the purpose of requiring [[an employer and his]] the
State and its insurer to furnish certain additional
workmen's compensation benefits in certain cases of
dual coverage by the federal and State government of
a member of the organized militia of the State of
Maryland; requiring the same coverage with respect
to the inclusion of members of the organized militia
under the terms of the Workmen's Compensation Law;
requiring that compensation under such law to a
member of the National Guard be based upon a certain
minimum wage or the actual wages earned, whichever
is greater; and making style changes.
