survey and description was prepared in accordance with
the direction of Anne Arundel County and Calvert County
and in no way is intended to re—establish the County Line
Survey of 1824.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

Caroline County — Eliminating Maximum Assessment

FOR the purpose of eliminating limitation on maximum
assessment of property in Caroline County; and
clarifying language.

Section 471

Article 6 — Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1965 Edition, as amended)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 471 of the Public Local Laws of
Caroline County being Article 6 of the Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1965 Edition, as amended) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

Before the powers granted by this section to the
County Roads Board shall be exercised there shall first
be a petition of property owners as provided in Section
468 requesting construction or improvements, public
hearing upon [said] THE petition after ten days notice in
a newspaper regularly published in Caroline County,
