(C) LICENSEES ABSENT FROM THE STATE FOR CAUSE AND
UNABLE TO RENEW THEIR LICENSES IN THE MANNER PRESCRIBED
BY THIS SECTION MAY APPLY BY MAIL TO THE ADMINISTRATION
FOR A TEMPORARY LICENSE. THE APPLICATION SHALL BE
ACCOMPANIED BY AN AFFIDAVIT STATING THE REASON FOR AND
THE EXPECTED LENGTH OF HIS ABSENCE. UPON RECEIPT OF THE
APPLICATION, THE ADMINISTRATOR SHALL ISSUE A TEMPORARY
LICENSE FOR A PERIOD NOT TO EXCEED ONE YEAR.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect January 1, 1977.

AN ACT concerning

Worcester County — Rural County Liquor Dispensaries

FOR the purpose of providing for the establishment of
county dispensaries in rural areas of Worcester
County, subject to a certain approval, with their
net profits being paid to the general funds of that
County; altering the maximum amount authorized for a
certain reserve fund; clarifying language; making
this Act subject to a certain contingency; and
making this Act an emergency measure.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 2B — Alcoholic Beverages

Section 161(f) and 165(h)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1968 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 161(f) and 165(h) of Article 2B -
Alcoholic Beverages, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1968 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and they
are hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
