21. MAINTENANCE OF ORDER

THIS SUBTITLE DOES NOT PREVENT A PUBLIC AGENCY FROM
ADOPTING REASONABLE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE
MAINTENANCE OF ORDER AT MEETINGS.

22. CITATION

THIS ACT MAY BE CITED AS THE "ST. MARY'S COUNTY OPEN
MEETINGS ACT."

SECTION 2. AND BE FURTHER ENACTED, That new Section
143B to be under the new subtitle "Open Meetings" be and
it is hereby added to the Public Local Laws of St. Mary's
County being Article 19 of the Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1965 Edition and 1974 Supplement, as amended)
to read as follows:

OPEN MEETINGS

143B.

PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE OPEN MEETING REQUIREMENT
OF PUBLIC AGENCIES IN ST. MARY'S COUNTY ARE FOUND IN
ARTICLE 76A, SECTIONS 7 THROUGH 22, INCLUSIVE, OF THE
ANNOTATED CODE.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any
provision of this Act or the application thereof to any
person or circumstance is held invalid for any reason,
the invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or
any other application of this Act which can be given
effect without the invalid provisions or application, and
to this end all the provisions of this Act are declared
to be severable.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.
