STATE ARE PUBLIC RECORDS. THEY SHALL BE MAINTAINED IN
THE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR AT LEAST TWO
YEARS, AND SHALL BE AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC FOR
INSPECTION AND PHOTOCOPYING, AT REASONABLE PRICES, DURING
THE NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE.
103H. RECORDS TO BE KEPT BY CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS;
PROFESSIONAL FUND-RAISER AND PROFESSIONAL SOLICITORS.
EVERY CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION SHALL IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE RULES AND REGULATIONS PRESCRIBED BY THE
SECRETARY OF STATE, KEEP TRUE AND ACCURATE FISCAL RECORDS
AS TO ITS ACTIVITIES IN MARYLAND IN SUCH FORM AS WILL
ENABLE IT ACCURATELY TO PROVIDE THE INFORMATION REQUIRED
BY THIS SUBTITLE. UPON DEMAND, THESE RECORDS SHALL BE
HADE AVAILABLE TO THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INSPECTION.
THE RECORDS SHALL BE RETAINED FOR A PERIOD OF AT LEAST
THREE YEARS AFTER THE END OF THE PERIOD OF REGISTRATION
TO WHICH THEY RELATE.
103-I. RECIPROCAL AGREEMENTS.
THE SECRETARY OF STATE MAY ENTER INTO RECIPROCAL
AGREEMENTS WITH THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITY OF ANY OTHER
STATE OF THE UNITED STATES, FOR THE PURPOSE OF EXCHANGING
INFORMATION WITH RESPECT TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS,
PROFESSIONAL FUND-RAISER COUNSEL, AND PROFESSIONAL
SOLICITORS. PURSUANT TO THESE AGREEMENTS, THE SECRETARY
OF STATE MAY ACCEPT INFORMATION FILED BY A CHARITABLE
ORGANIZATION, PROFESSIONAL FUND-RAISER COUNSEL, OF
PROFESSIONAL SOLICITOR WITH THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITY OF
ANOTHER STATE IN LIEU OF THE INFORMATION REQUIRED TO BE
FILED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE,
IF THE INFORMATION IS SUBSTANTIALLY SIMILAR TO THE
INFORMATION REQUIRED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE. THE SECRETARY
OF STATE MAY ALSO GRANT AN EXEMPTION FROM THE REQUIREMENT
FOR THE FILING OF AN ANNUAL REGISTRATION STATEMENT TO
CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS ORGANIZED UNDER THE LAWS OF
ANOTHER STATE AND HAVING THEIR PRINCIPAL PLACE OF
BUSINESS OUTSIDE THE STATE, WHOSE FUNDS ARE DERIVED
PRINCIPALLY FROM SOURCES OUTSIDE THE STATE, AND WHICH
HAVE BEEN GRANTED AN EXEMPTION FROM THE FILING OF
REGISTRATION STATEMENTS BY THE STATE UNDER WHOSE LAWS
THEY ARE ORGANIZED, IF THAT STATE HAS A STATUTE SIMILAR
IN SUBSTANCE TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE.
103J. PROHIBITED ACTS.
(A) A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION, PROFESSIONAL
FUND-RAISER COUNSEL. AND PROFESSIONAL SOLICITOR MAY NOT
USE OR EXPLOIT THE FACT OF REGISTRATION SO AS TO LEAD THE
PUBLIC TO BELIEVE THAT THE REGISTRATION IN ANY MANNER
CONSTITUTES AN ENDORSEMENT OR APPROVAL BY THE STATE OF
MARYLAND. HOWEVER, THE USE OF THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT
SHALL NOT BE DEEMED A PROHIBITED EXPLOITATION:
"REGISTERED WITH THE SECRETARY OF STATE OF MARYLAND AS
REQUIRED BY LAW. REGISTRATION DOES NOT CONSTITUTE OR
IMPLY ENDORSEMENT OF A PUBLIC SOLICITATION FOR
