Annotated Code of Maryland

(1973 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That new Section 8A be and it is hereby added
to Article 19 — Comptroller, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1973 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) to
read as follows:

Article 19 — Comptroller

8A.

[[NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW TO THE
CONTRARY,]] THE COMPTROLLER MAY TRANSFER STAFF, FUNDS,
AND EQUIPMENT FROM AMY OFFICE, DIVISION OR BUREAU WITHIN
HIS JURISDICTION TO ANY OTHER OFFICE, DIVISION, OR BUREAU
WITHIN HIS JURISDICTION, FOR THE PURPOSE OF INCREASING
THE EFFICIENCY AND ECONOMY OF HIS ADMINISTRATION.
WHENEVER STAFF PERSONNEL ARE TRANSFERRED, THE COMPTROLLER
SHALL INSURE THAT THOSE STAFF PERSONNEL ARE NOT REDUCED
IN CLASS OR GRADE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

Vehicles — Excess Size and Weight

FOR the purpose of [[enabling the State Highway
Administration to set certain permit fees]]
increasing certain permit fees payable to the State
Highway Administration for oversize and overweight
motor vehicles using State highways; and correcting
certain obsolete references and generally relating
to permits for oversize and overweight vehicles.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 66 1/2 - Vehicle Laws
